Bhubaneswar, May 21: The announcement of the Indian Railways to resume operations of a number of trains in the country is now expected to facilitate 12 pairs of trains under East Coast Railway (ECoR) zone.
The Bhubaneswar-based ECoR office informed the media that about the list of trains and the new guidelines which will be followed by the passengers opting to travel in such trains.
These trains will start operations from June 1.
New guidelines for travelling include-
-Tickets could be booked only online.
-Ticket booking agents will not be allowed to book tickets.
-Wait list passengers will not be allowed to board the train.
-No tickets will be issued from railway stations.
-Aarogya Setu app mandatory for passengers.
-No provision of Tatkal train booking
-Current booking will be available online.
-Limited concessional tickets to be allowed.
List of special trains starting in ECoR Zone-
-Bhubaneswar-Mumbai Konark Express
–Bhubaneswar-Howrah Jan Satabdi Express
-Puri-New Delhi Purushottam Express
-Puri to Sealdah (Kolkata) Duranto Express
-Vishakhapatnam to New Delhi AP Express
-Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Godavari Express
Trains to run through ECoR zone:
-Howrah-Secunderabad Falaknuma Express
-Howrah to Mumbai Special Train
-Howrah to Ahmedabad Special Train
-Howrah to Barbil Special Train will also run through Odisha.
The routes and schedule of the above trains will be announced shortly.
These trains will be run with reserved berths with normal Mail/Express & Superfast train fare.
2nd class fare will be charged for the passengers travelling in General Second Class coaches with reserved berths.
