Bhubaneswar, Jan 31 (LocalWire) The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has sanctioned 12,290 houses for Odisha under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), an official said on Thursday.
The proposal was approved at the 42nd meeting of Central Sanctioning & Monitoring Committee (CSMC) held in Delhi.
With the approval of 4,78,670 houses on Wednesday, the total number of houses under PMAY scheme has reached 72,65,763.
As per the committee’s decision, 12,290 houses for Odisha, 1,05,956 for Andhra Pradesh, 1,02,895 for West Bengal, 91,689 for Uttar Pradesh, 68,110 for Tamilnadu, 35,377 for Madhya Pradesh, 24,089 for Kerala, 17,817 for Maharashtra, 10,269 for Bihar and 9208 houses for Uttarakhand have been sanctioned.
The CSMC meeting, presided by Housing and Urban Affairs Secretary Durga Shanker Mishra, has approved 940 projects worth RS 22,492 crores, 7180 crores of which will be central aid.
