Bhubaneshwar, Feb 16 (LocalWire): This year, a total of 1950 students from the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) are going to appear in the class 10th Board Examination to be conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, 2020, a KISS official said on Sunday.
This is the highest number of students from a single school to appear in the 10th Board Exam. Remarkably, this number is at par with the total number of students appearing for the exam from as many as 50 high schools taken together under the BSE, Odisha.
These students belong to various tribes, including primitive tribes, from 30 districts of Odisha.
The students will appear in the examination at different centres such as Unit-8 Saraswati Sisu Vidyamandir, Niladrivihar Sisu Vidyamandir, Fakirmohan Nagar, Dharma Vihar Saraswati Sisu Vidyamandir and Government Nodal School, Phase –II, Chandrasekharpur.
Like every year, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, the Founder of KISS & KIIT, distributed pens among the students and wished them all the best on Saturday.
Congratulating the students, he mentioned how crucial this period is for every student.
“Students should study hard and take the help of their teachers in case of any doubts. I am very much hopeful and confident that this year, the students will fetch cent per cent success like the previous years,” he said.
KISS is the largest tribal institute of the world.
