Bhubaneswar, Oct 7 (LocalWire): The Met centre in Bhubaneswar has released the data for post-monsoon seasonal rainfall and its departure from normal from Oct 1-7.
While 24 Odisha districts have recorded a large excess of post-monsoon rainfall (+60% or more), 4 districts have recorded excess rainfall (20-59%) and 2 districts have recorded normal rainfall (-19 to +19%) during Oct 1-7.
Nabarangpur and Jharsuguda have recorded normal range of post-monsoon rainfall with a departure of 0% and 9% respectively.
Sonepur recorded the highest departure from large excess rainfall at 377% while Khordha recorded the lowest departure at 80%.
While the actual cumulative rainfall in the entire state is 85.7 mm, the average departure from rainfall is 114%.
