Bolangir, 21 Oct (LocalWire): Tusura police led by Kamal Lochan Majhi intercepted a car near Bhutiarbahal on 22 August and seized 81 kilogram ganja packed in four bags from it.
The accused who were piloting the vehicle in a bike and the driver of the Maruti car managed to flee, SDPO Bolangir, Srimanta Barik told mediapersons today.
During investigation, it was found that the contraband was procured from Baliguda and was being transported to Chhattisgarh.
Yesterday, police arrested all the four accused involved in the transportation of the narcotic substance.
They have been identified as Pinku Kumar Sahu, Balbhadra Biswal, Jagdish Pradhan and Khirasagar Sahu who belong to Paikmal area of Bargarh district, Barik said.
