Bhubaneswar, May 8 (Local Wire): The state government on Friday said that a total of 46,383 stranded migrants of Odisha have now come down to their home state from different parts of the country.
Sanjay Singh, Principal Secretary, Information and Public Relations Department said, “Odia brothers and sisters are returning Odisha every day since May 3.
A total of 6618 migrants from the state have returned to Odisha today.
So far 46,383 Odias have returned to Odisha. Returnees are coming by train/bus and other vehicles,”
He also said that the state has now more than 13,000 quarantine centres.
He said, “13,685 quarantine centres have been readied in 6798 Gram Panchayats of the State. In all these Centres, total of 5,48,161 beds have been arranged to provide COVID-19 health services in rural areas,”
