Bhubaneswar, Nov 13 (LocalWire): The capital city of Odisha is set to host the 4th edition of a three day- international conference on aquaculture from November 15 , officials said on Wednesday.
The conference will discuss on India’s aquaculture production through synergistic approach between multinational industries, domestic entrepreneurs and aquaculturists.
Giriraj Singh, Minister of animal husbandry, dairy and Pratap Chandra Sarangi, minister of state for animal husbandry, dairy and fisheries and micro, small and medium enterprises, will attend the inaugural session of the Congress.
Around 300 delegates including representatives of multinational industries, domestic entrepreneurs, aquaculturists, researchers, extension workers, private extension service providers, state fisheries officials will participate in the events.
ICAR-CIFA ( Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture) has organised the events in collaboration with Association of Aquaculturists, Bhubaneswar, and Pillay Aquaculture Foundation, Chennai.
An exhibition on aquaculture will be held where around 50 stakeholders will participate and display their activities and services for the benefit of fish farmers, the officials said.
