Bhubaneswar, June 10 (LocalWire): The state government today said that more than 5 lakh stranded persons from Odisha have now returned to their state till now after relaxation of lockdown norms.
The government said that the state saw the return of 1273 people from Odisha today itself. “Odia brothers and sisters are returning to Odisha every day since 3rd May.
1273 Odia people have returned to Odisha today. So far 5,15,900 Odias have returned to Odisha. Returnees are coming by train/bus and other vehicles,”
According to the government the state also has more than 7 lakh beds ready in quarantine centres for the returning people of the state.
“16,813 TemporaryMedical Centres/Camps have been readied in 6798 Gram Panchayats of the State.In all these Centres, total no. of 7,62,091 beds have been arranged to provide COVID-19health services in rural areas,” a statement from the Information and Public Relations Department said.
The government also said that a total of 51 stranded workers from other states were also sent to their home states today by the government from different corners of the state.
