Bhubaneswar, July 19 (LocalWire): The state government today said that seven Coronavirus patients died in the state in the latest estimate of casualties of the infected persons.
The State Health and Family Welfare Department said that out of the 7 new deaths, five were attributed as Coronavirus deaths while two other Coronavirus patients who died in the state were said to have died for reasons ‘other than Coronavirus’.
“Regret to inform the demise of 5 Coronavirus positive patients while under treatment in hospitals,” the department said.
The five deceased hailed from districts like Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur and Sundergarh districts.
The youngest of them was a 39-year-old diabetic male patient from Ganjam. Another 44-year-old male from Ganjam also succumbed to the disease.
On the other hand two other Coronavirus patients who died for other cases hailed from Bhubaneswar and Ganjam and said to have died due to kidney disease and metabolic acidosis and other reasons.
With the addition of the latest deaths, the total number of people dying of Coronavirus in the state touched 91 while infected patients dying for other reasons went upto 28.
