Cuttack, May 13 (LocalWire): The Odisha government’s flagship Aahar meal scheme, which provides nutritious food at low prices to the urban poor, will resume its services in Cuttack from today.
The scheme was temporarily halted after the Aahar centers, run by the Akshaya Patra Foundation, were damaged in cyclone Fani.
Under the scheme, people are provided cooked rice and dalma at just Rs 5.
Cyclone Fani, which struck Odisha on May 3, had caused extensive damage in the coastal areas.
The government has announced an extensive relief package to mitigate the situation.
