Bhubaneswar, Oct 30 (LocalWire) All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar has been adjudged as the second-best hospital for Category B Hospitals of the country for adopting cleanliness and hygiene practices.
The institute, which won the all-India ranking for the second consecutive year, was selected on the basis of a survey report conducted by “Week-Hansa Research Survey, 2019” and awarded Rs.one crore under “Kayakalpa Scheme” of the Government of India.
The assessment considered various parameters such as hospital upkeep, sanitation and hygiene, waste management, infection control and other support services.
AIIMS, Bhubaneswar has been rated the best Public Hospital in the State of Odisha and the best (Public and Private) Hospitals in Bhubaneswar city, besides the third-best Hospital in Eastern Zone in both Private and Public Hospital category.
Besides, AIIMS, Bhubaneswar also recorded the highest number of OPD patients amongst six new AIIMS.
