Bhubaneswar, May 10 (Local Wire): The state government on Sunday declared that two districts which were untouched till May 9 have now also become the latest victims of Coronavirus.
These two districts-Angul and Boudh for the first time reported cases of Coronavirus from their region.
While Angul reported a total of 15 new cases of the global pandemic in its maiden reporting of the cases, Boudh reported three cases on Sunday.
In Angul district out of the 15 new patients, 13 had recently returned from Surat while one recently returned from Maharashtra. On the other side one local citizen of Angul also tested positive for the disease.
In Boudh all the three patients of Coronavirus had recently returned from Surat. The government claimed that except the one case of Angul all others were in quarantine.
With the inclusion of Angul and Boudh in the list of districts affected by the disease, the total affected districts stand at 21.
The latest additions hint that now 70 per cent of the districts in Odisha is Coronavirus affected.
