Rourkela, February 28(localWire): The annual day of DNB doctors of Ispat General Hospital – Jalsa 2019 – was organised at the Indo German Club here on Tuesday.
Ispat General Hospital has been imparting DNB training courses to doctors in various disciplines since 2006 after being accredited by the National Board of examination, New Delhi,
Mr. Ashwini Kumar, CEO, Rourkela Steel Plant, the chief guest and Mr Dipak Chattaraj, OSD, the guest of honour, inaugurated the programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
Addressing the gathering, Mr Kumar commended the efforts and contributions of DNB doctors in treating IGH patients. Equating doctors to God, he urged them to be honest in their profession.
Mr. Chattaraj said doctors and teachers were held in high esteem in society.
He urged doctors to make best use of the infrastructure, resources and opportunities available and extend the best of healthcare to the people. Addressing the students, Dr S S Pati, Director, M&HS, requested them to extend selfless service to the poor.
Earlier Dr RK Behera, director, M&HS and DNB co-ordinator, welcomed the gathering and briefed about the status of the course. Dr D Bhanu, General Secretary of the DNB Association presented the Annual Report while Dr Vikrant, President, DNB Association proposed a vote of thanks. Mr Kumar along with other dignitaries awarded the winners of the various cultural and sports competitions held earlier in the week.
