Cuttack, April 2 (LocalWire): Passengers of a Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express train on Tuesday spent some anxious moments after the engine left a few bogies behind following a halt here.
According to reports, the train engine got detached from the bogies after a brief halt on the Kathajodi Bridge in Cuttack, triggering panic among the passengers.
The train had left Bhubaneswar railway station around 9.30 am.
Sources said that some bogies, including the pantry car, were attached to the engine, but several others got decoupled. The train, however, resumed its onward journey after the engine was reattached to the bogies.
All passengers are reportedly safe.
Meanwhile, an enquiry has been order into the incident by the railways.
“Strict action will be taken in case any discrepancy is found, or anybody found responsible for any slackness.” said Khurda road DRM Braj Mohan Agarwal.
