Paradip, Feb 13 (LocalWire) Aditya Mittal, the president of ArcelorMittal as well as group chief financial officer on Thursday visited the Essar Steel Plant and interacted with the company officials and discussed about his plans to enhance production to 10 million tonnes in Paradip.
ArcelorMittal, the world’s largest steel company, has taken over the assets of Essar Steel.
The company has disclosed its interest in setting up a new steel plant close to the Essar’s current pellet unit at Paradip.
During his visit, Mittal visited the Essar plant and unfurled the flag of his company at the plant.
He also visited the location where the integrated steel plant will be established.
He also visited the Essar Power and Essar Berth near the Paradip Port to enquire about the available facilities for cargo operations.
Mittal, accompanied by Takahiro, Gerve Van, Kamat of Nippon Steel, Ram Krishan of Central HR of Mittal group, and the Chief Executive Officer of Arcelor Mittal Sanjay Sharma and others visited the plant site on Thursday.
