Jagatsinghpur, Dec 17 (LocalWire) District Consumer Dispute Redressal Forum (DCDRF) president on Monday directed Superintendent of Police to arrest Jagatsinghpur sub-collector and to produce him before the forum on Jan 4 for alleged non-compliance of order of pending case.
Sources said Brundaban Chandra (Junior) College, which was established on 1987, lacks basic infrastructure facilities and arrange fake lectures causing deterioration of education.
Students are compelled to study under dilapidated asbestos building where water leaks whenever it rains.
This college has no boundary wall, auditorium and concrete building due to mismanagement and lack of coordination between teaching and non-teaching staff.
According to sources, the college even appointed an English lecturer on the basis of a fake MA certificate.
“A criminal proceeding is pending against him at Raghunathpur police station,” said a college insider on condition of anonymity.
In 2015, activist Gobinda Ojha from Redhua filed case at DCDRF against the president of the governing body-cum sub-collector, Jagatsinghpur for large number of irregularities and illegal collection of fees from the students.
DCDRF president had asked president of governing body of the college to appear before the court to comply this issue on Apr 17, 2017. But he completely ignored and failed to respond to the court directive.
Hence, he was charged with offence of non-compliance of order for which a show-cause notice was slapped on him on Mar 28, 2018.
Meanwhile, the DCDRF president has directed Jagatsinghpur police inspector-in-charge to arrest the sub-collector and produce him before the forum on Jan 4.
“If he offers decreetal cost of Rs 3000 and fine amount of Rs 200 by executing personal bond of Rs 3200, along with two sureties each for Rs 1600 , he may be released on bail with the direction to appear before the forum on the said date,” said the DCDRF.
