Bhubaneswar, Feb 19 (LocalWire) With candles in their hands, the artistes’ community of Bhubaneswar stood at Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya on Tuesday evening to pay tribute to the 40 CRPF soldiers who died in a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama on February 14.
The artistes walked together in silence from Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya to the Buddha Temple at Housing Board Square in remembrance of the bravehearts who lost their lives to the terror attack.
They were seen holding the national flag and were led by artistes bearing torches, as a mark of respect.
Almost 1000 artistes, students of Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, dancers, actors, and musicians came together to show their solidarity for the martyred CRPF soldiers.
Among the artistes who organised and took part in the vigil were Sri Ratikant Mohapatra, Smt. Aruna Mohanty, Sri Lakshmikanta Palit, Sri Ramahari Das, Sri Dhira Mallik, Sri Subodh Patnaik and other notable personalities.
