Bhubaneswar, Oct 6 (LocalWire): The Monsoon Session of the Odisha Assembly today was adjourned sine die after concluding their six-day proceedings, conducted amid the Coronavirus outbreak.
The House during these days was able to pass seven legislations during this period. It concluded a day before its scheduled closure.
The seven bills which were passed by the House included- Universities Amendment Bill, Odisha Municipal Laws (Amendment) Bill, Odisha Advocates’ Welfare Fund (Amendment) Bill, The Industrial Disputes Odisha Amendment Bill, the Odisha Goods and Services Tax Amendment Bill, the Court Fees Amendment Bill and the Epidemic Diseases Amendment Bill.
According to government statistics, the House saw submission of 1046 non-starred questions.
Out of these, response to 898 was given by the government. It also saw three Adjournment Motions and submission of 72 papers and 12 Annual Reports.
Seven reports of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) and 10 reports of different Committees were also laid before the House.
