Khordha, Dec 18 (LocalWire): Property worth Rs 1,41,63000 was found during raids at office and houses of Prashant Behera, an assistant engineer in electricity department of Cuttack lift irrigation division, said a vigilance official on Tuesday.
A team led by Nayagarh vigilance DSP Sishira Behera conducted raid at the four-storey building of the engineer in Khordha town on charges of amassing disproportionate assets.
Simultaneously, other two teams conducted search at his paternal house in Chandipur and office in Cuttack.
Property worth around Rs 1.5 crore was unearthed from his Khordha residence, said a vigilance official.
The anti-corruption sleuths found two buildings worth around Rs 1.1 crore and two cars of worth around Rs 19 lakh during the raid, among other valuables and money.
Behera had joined as an electrical engineer at Raghunathpur lift irrigation office in Jagatsinghpur in 1989.
