Bhubaneswar, Oct 04 (LocalWire) Chief Advisor of the office of state chief minister R. Balakrishnan on Thursday urged the poets to promote the arts, culture and tradition of Odisha to make people across the world aware of its rich heritage.
Addressing the gathering at the World Congress of Poets, he said poetry is an important mass medium medium.
“Odisha is a wonderland of pluralism as mentioned in the Puranas.
It state is rich in art, culture and tradition” he said.
Writers and poets from 82 countries are participating in the 39th edition of World Congress of Poets being hosted by Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) Deemed to be University at Bhubaneswar.
On the third day of the event, the poets participated in the special ‘Tourism Poetry’ session organised at Konark Sun Temple.
“Konark Sun Temple is a multi-layered odyssey and a magnificent example of Kalinga architecture”, Balakrishnan said.
