Bolangir, Nov 8 (LocalWire): Police on Sunday arrested two persons in Bolangir for withdrawing money using the ATM card of others.
Identified as Nilamani Tripathy and Sawgat Mishra the two accused were nabbed based a complaint lodged by the head of a local bank, superintendent of police Sandeep Sampat said.
According to him, Gourachandra Pruseth, a city resident informed the manager of Bolangir District Central Cooperative Bank after he found Rs 1,73,924 missing from his account missing.
During the investigation, police found that one of the accused persons was working in the same bank as a temporary staff a few months ago and had quit his job.
He had allegedly kept some of the ATM cards and passwords that was supposed to be provided to the customers.
With the help of his friend, Pruseth was withdrawing the money from the ATM using those cards.
The offenders were using helmet, blue goggles and raincoat to conceal their identity, Sampat said.
