Berhampur, May 5 (LocalWire): Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) will monitor the people quarantined at home amid COVID-19 though the Swosth Application-the App.
Developed by a private company Teceads solution, a Startup Odisha and Startup India recognized entry incubated in KIIT TBI, Bhubaneswar, and BeMC, the App will alert to the administration when one jumps the home quarantine.
In some other states, the district administrations and police have been used the geofencing technology to track the violators of the home quarantine.
“This App is specially made for quarantine monitoring and violation of home quarantine rules,” said BeMC commissioner Chakravarti Singh Rathore.
“Now the training is imparted to the health workers, anganwadis, ANMs who use the App.
After completing their training, it will start to function in BeMC area limits on a pilot basis,” said BeMC commissioner.
“After seeing its success, the App might be used in other areas,” he added.
“The administration can monitor those placed under home quarantine, with the help of their geolocation, and can digitally restrict their movement within a certain parameter (home boundary).
There is a feature that allows the quarantined user to send a selfie, when the administration rings his/her smartphone, to ensure the quarantined user doesn’t leave the home,” said Swadhin Nayak, The CEO of the company.
“In case the application is deleted or location sharing is turned off automatically, the call will be made to his/her mobile phone,” he added.
“The institutional quarantine users should be registered at the beginning with their symptoms and beds allocated.
Daily health survey will be conducted by the health workers in the respective institutions digitally through it,” he said.
