Berhampur, Oct 14 (LocalWire): A student of Berhampur bagged the top rank in the state and 20th in all India in the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST), the results of which were published on Tuesday.
Bikash Agrawalla, a student of Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Nilakantha Nagar, achieved it in the all India level entrance test held on September 29.
The school authorities on Wednesday felicitated him for his achievement, on which he complemented the teachers and parents for his success.
While over 50,000 students had appeared in the NEST held in 90 centers across the country, as many as 1623 students of them got ranked in the results.
NEST is a compulsory test for the students seeking admission to the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai-Department of Atomic Energy Center for Excellence in Basic Science (UM-DAE CBSE) Mumbai.
“We are proud of his achievement,” said S.Mohan Rao, principal of the Saraswati Vidya Mandir. He has also achieved KVPY, Physic Olympiad etc., he said.
Bikash is the son of Sunil Agrawalla, a pediatric doctor of MKCG Medical College and Hospital here.
He has also appeared for the NEET, the result of which is scheduled to be published on Friday, sources said.
