Berhampur: April 24 (LocalWire): Post-graduate students of Berhampur University requested the authorities to conduct the second and fourth semester examinations in the second week of May, instead of 2 May, since several students have gone to their native place of stay to cast their votes and the fourth phase of elections is yet to be held.
The course was also incomplete as several teachers were engaged in election duties before the polls.
Several students submitted a memorandum to the post-graduate council chairman, Debi Prasanna Patnaik, on Tuesday.
‘We discussed the demands of the students in the post-graduate council meeting today.
We will place the decision of the council to the Vice chancellor. He will take the final call,’ said Patnaik.
‘We demanded the semester examinations to be delayed by at least one week for preparations for the examinations,’ said some teachers.
The first and third semester examinations of the post-graduate departments were held in the month of February, they said.
The VC is likely to take a decision on Thursday, sources said.
