Keonjhar, Jan 15 (LocalWire): The state government has built a new watchtower and a hanging bridge at the famous Bhimkund waterfall in the district of Keonjhar to attract more tourists.
Patna MLA Jaganath Naik inaugurated the watchtower and the hanging bridge.
Bhimkund is a scenic tourist hotspot situated on River Baitarani, in Patna block area, bordering Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj district, about 45 km from here. It is encircled with lush green forest.
According to mythology Pandavas stayed here sometime here during their religious expedition.
Considered as one of the most sacred places, a large number of people from within and outside of the state visit this place. Local residents gather in the area to celebrate Makar Sankranti.
