Bhubaneswar, April 30 (LocalWire): Prateek Chaudhury of Bhubaneswar-based SAI International School has topped the state with an All India Rank of 26 in the JEE Main April Exam 2019.
The National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducted the exam at 370 centers in India and abroad in April, was announced on Monday on the official website jeemain.nic.in.
Prateek has scored 99.99 percentile marks in the exam. His next round is JEE Advanced, which will be one step closer to getting admission into a prestigious IIT.
The Bhubaneswar lad cracked the exams with a near-perfect score through rigorous hard work and help, said a relative.
Chaudhury has bettered his January score of 99.93 percentile this time.
A total of 24 candidates have scored 100 percentile in the NTA JEE Main January and April 2019 exams in Paper 1, which is being held for admissions to the country’s top engineering and technical institutions.
The best score of the two exams will be considered for short-listing candidates for JEE Advanced. NTA will select 2,45,000 students for JEE Advanced.
Of 6,08,440 candidates who have appeared in the exams, 2,97,932 candidates have improved their performance, NTA said.
