Bhubaneswar, April 26 (LocalWire): BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to campaign in Biju Patnaik’s stronghold, Kendrapada Parliamentary constituency, today, to woo the voters in the district days ahead of the fourth phase polling on 29 April.
The chief minister will attend roadshows and campaign in Mahakalapada and Patakura Assembly constituencies and address public gatherings.
Kendrapada constituency is in the news for more reasons than one. Baijyanta Panda was Kendrapada’s MP from BJD before he quit the party a few months ago and joined BJP. Now the BJD candidate is Anubhav Mohanty who is pitted against Baijyanta Panda.
State health minister Pratap Jena will be contesting from Mahanga Assembly constituency.
Minister Sashibhusan Behera will be contesting from Kendrapada Assembly constituency, former minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak from Mahakalapada, Pratap Keshari Deb from Aali Assembly constituencies.
