Berhampur, Oct 11 (LocalWire): BJD’s Ganjam district unit has decided to celebrate the 73rd birth day of chief minister and party supremo Naveen Patnaik on October 16 as Seva Diwas.
The district unit held a meeting with Lok Sabha members, several MLAs and office bearers of the BJD yesterday and decided to organize mega blood donation camps, health camps, service to the poor and discuss the vision of the chief minister to develop Odisha, said BJD’s district unit vice president Sarbeswar Rao.
The party observer in the district and former minister Maheswar Mohanty attended the meeting as an observer.
Besides this, debates, drawing competition among school and college students would also be held on 15 October – a day before the birthday of Naveen Patnaik in Gopalpur assembly constituency, Rao said.
Book exhibitions on Biju Patnaik, Naveen Patnaik and Odisha will be held at Sanskruti Bhawan on 16 October. A discussion on Naveen Patnaik – His mission and vision would also be held, he said.
