Bhubaneswar, May 23 (LocalWire): Counting of votes for the 17th Lok Sabha and 147-member state assembly began simultaneously at 8 am in 63 centers across Odisha on Thursday.
According to the latest trend, the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) was leading in several seats as the counting started.
A three-tier security arrangement has been made in all counting centers to prevent any untoward incident.
Police and other security personnel were also deployed for law and order.
Various communication facilities were provided at the control rooms for smooth functioning of the counting process.
