Bhubaneswar, March 28 (LocalWire): The state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party today released campaign materials to reach out to the electorate at its party headquarters here.
A 4:16 minute duration video along with posters and audio CDs was released by the party’s top brass in presence of the Union petroleum and natural gas minister Dharmendra Pradhan and national vice president Baijayant Pradhan.
The video shows a woman using an LPG connection with the name Ujjwala embossed on it referring to the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. The lyrics also clearly mention the name of the centrally-sponsored scheme.
The campaign posters and audio CDs of other political parties will be launched soon.
Earlier, BJD had complained that banners and hoarding of Central schemes displaying surrogate advertisements were yet to be pulled down. It had lodged a complaint against Kendrapara Lok Sabha candidate Baijayant Panda for violating the model code of conduct by using a video campaign vehicle.
Both the BJP and the BJD have moved the CEO seeking action against each other over the use of surrogate advertisements to promote schemes like Ujjwala and Kalia by the Centre and the state respectively.
