Bhubaneswar, July 28 (LocalWire): The Sambalpur Police has booked two legislators of the BJP for allegedly forcibly entering into the Sambalpur Collector office.
They have been identified as Jay Narayan Mishra, Sambalpur MLA and Nauri Nayak, Rengali MLA.
The Police has booked the political leaders under Epidemic Act and other different Sections of the Indian Penal Code.
It was alleged that they misbehaved with the ADM, Sambalpur, used foul language and violated the social distancing and other COVID 19 related rules.
“The agitators formed an unlawful assembly, forcibly entered inside the office premises of Collector by forcing upon the gate, manhandled the Police staff on duty, violated the Covid-19 guidelines and provision of Epidemic disease Act and Disaster management Act,” a statement from Sambalpur Police said.
It also added, “They raised provocative slogans They have blatantly violated Covid guidelines and put their own and everyone else’s life in risk at this critical juncture.”
