Bhubaneswar, Oct 20 (LocalWire): The BJP today moved the Election Commission seeking its intervention in an alleged violation of poll code by the BJD in Balasore.
BJP leader Jatin Mojhanty along with other party leaders today submitted a memorandum to the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) against the BJD for their alleged violation of the Code of Conduct in Balasore Sadar bypoll seat.
The leader said that in violation of the codes, the BJD leaders are starting new projects and doing some pending works during night to attract the voters before elections.
“Model Code of Conduct is in place but the BJD leaders and the government officials are seen doing some government project works despite the upcoming elections nearby in violation of the law,” he said.
It was also alleged that some government offices of the State government are also being used by the BJD workers for their party related works.
