New Delhi, Jan 31 (LocalWire) An opinion survey by Times Now has predicted Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP’s) huge gain in Odisha in 2019 General Elections.
Compared to only 1 seat bagged in 2014, BJP might be getting 13 seats out of 21, as per the survey.
According to the survey, the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) government might take a dip from 20 seats in 2014 to 8 seats this year, while the Congress and other local parties may not win any seat in Odisha.
BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) bagged 252 seats, the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) bagged 147 seats and others won 144 seats in the survey, which was conducted among 15,731 voters.
The survey conducted between Jan 14 and 25, did not show any party crossing the magic mark of 272 seats out of 543 in Lok Sabha.
The survey predicted 215 seats might be won by BJP alone, which was 282 in 2014.
Similarly, Congress alone may score 96 seats improving from 2014’s performance of just 44 seats.
