Jajpur, April 27 (LocalWire): Campaigning in Jajpur on Saturday, BJP president Amit Shah said that his party will form the next government in Odisha, as the Naveen Patnaik-led regime has failed in all fronts.
Shah appealed to people to vote for BJP to bring development in the state, which he claimed remained backward due to the inefficient 19-year rule of the BJD government.
“Tribals and Dalits, once considered traditional voters of Congress and BJD, are no longer with them.
History will be created in Odisha on May 23, when BJP will storm to power,” Saha said at an election rally at Sukinda in Jajpur.
Shah said that the Union government had provided Rs 5 lakh crores to the state under various schemes since 2014 but the state government failed to utilize the money properly.
“Corrupt leaders and state bureaucrats have looted a major chunk of the money,” Shah alleged.
Health service has reached its nadir in Odisha, thanks to the slipshod attitude of the state government.
Deaths of malnourished infants at Nagada and Dana Majhi show the state of affairs here, Shah said.
Similarly, the Odisha government has also neglected the plight of the farmers, and as a result there’s a growing unrest in the farm community today, the BJP leader said.
He added that there’s not a single allegation of corruption against the Modi government since it came to power.
“The prime minister has been working day and night for the welfare of the people. He has not taken a single day leave in three years,” Shah said.
Also the mining mafia and chit-fund accused are having a free run due to the inefficient state government, he claimed.
Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan and other senior leaders of the party had accompanied the BJP president at the rally.
