Bhubaneswar, May 3 (Local Wire): The state government on Sunday welcomed the returnees from Kerala at the Jaganathpur railway station in Ganjam district with safety and screening.
The Ganjam administration had covered the platform with blue carpet, ensured basic facilities for the returnees, provided them food packets.
The government officials with their safety geared ensured their smooth movement to their destinations via buses assigned for them.
Circles on the floor to maintain social distancing while boarding bused were also marked.
The whole movement of the returnees were done in a coordinated way at the railway station. Temperature screening was also done to detect ailing patients.
A statement from the Ganjam district administration said, “First train from Kerala arrived at Jagganthpur station, Ganjam.
All returnees were screened by health team. Thanks to all members of Ganjam team.
Big Support from Housing and Urban Development Secretary.”
Special Relief Commissioner Pradeep Jena also applauded the Ganjam administration to the coordinated work in handling the Kerala returnees.
