Paradip, Jan 9 (LocalWire) Locals, including school children, took out a candle light procession in Hasina village in memory of the 10 victims of Kendrapara boat tragedy on Tuesday evening.
They took out a silent rally from local temple and marched across the entire village to pay their tribute to the departed souls.
Later, they conducted a condolence meeting to express their grief to the bereaved families who have been lost their children and women.
Local children also condoled for the demise of their eight friends who used to play and go to school with them.
Members of various local clubs and associations too paid tribute to the ten victims.
Local youth leaders like Simachal Panda, Bipin Tripathy and Debranjan Pani participated in the silent rally and paid floral tributes to the deceased.
As many as 10 people, including two women and eight children, were killed when a mini fishing boat carrying 55 picnickers capsized in the Mahanadi river in Hukitula on Jan 2.
