Bolangir, Dec 5 (LocalWire): A lawyer tonsured his head on the third day of protest in Bolangir demanding setting up of a permanent bench of the Orissa High Court in the district, reports said on Wednesday.
The agitators locked the collectorate gate and did not allow collector Arindam Dakua to attend a video conference meeting with the chief secretary.
Later, they staged a protest march in the city where a lawyer tonsured his head on the road protesting against government apathy.
The agitators staged a sit-in protest in front of district collectorate, civil court and tehsil office under the leadership of district lawyers’ association president Ashok Mohanty and Milita Kriyanistan Committee convenor Lalit Nayak.
The agitation will continue till December 10, said the protesting lawyers.
