Bhubaneswar, Dec 22 (LocalWire): Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has set up their second state-of-the-art LPG bottling plant at Barkani, in Balangir district. It already has one at Khurda.
Oil marketing companies have LPG bottling plants at Balasore, Jharsuguda, Khurda and Jatni and are planning to set up new plants at Khurda and Rayagada.
With new plants, Odisha will have a total of seven LPG bottling plantswith a capacity of 4.06 crore cylinders per annum.
The foundation stone of Balangir LPG bottling plant was laid in May 2018 by minister for petroleum & natural gas & steel, Dharmendra Pradhan, The plant has been completed in a record 19 months and will be dedicated to the nation by the vice President M Venkaiah Naidu in presence of Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal, Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik, Balangir MP Sangeeta Kumari Singh Deo, Balangir MLA, Narasingha Mishra and dignitaries from the state and officials of BPCL on 27 December, BPCL senior officials said during a press meet today.
The press meet was attended by senior officials of Bharat Petroleum including Sanjay Sharma, state head, LPG, Odisha and Jharkhand, Subudhi KVR, DGM, engineering (E&P), east, Atul Kumar, regional LPG manager (east) and SS. Sundararajan, DGM, brand and PR.
