Bhubaneswar, August 14 (LocalWire) The Public Enterprise Selection Board (PSEB) on Wednesday recommended Sridhar Patra to be the next chief of state-run aluminium producer Nalco.
Patra is currently working as director (finance) in Nalco.
The PSEB, which works under the Department of Personnel and Training of Union Government, announced its recommendation after a meeting held on Wednesday afternoon.
Patra was chosen out of total four contenders who hailed from government entities such as SAIL, Mecon, Northeaster Electric Power Corp.
The Nalco official will take charge from current CMD Tapan Kumar Chand from December 1 this year.
Born on 12.10.1964, Patra is a graduate in Commerce from Utkal University and a Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
He has also done MBA (HRD) from Vidya Sagar University.
He has more than three decades of experience in various Public Sector Undertaking like Odisha Mining Corporation Ltd., Indian Rare Earths Ltd. and Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd. (A subsidiary of ONGC Ltd.).
He has contributed as an academician apart from his professional employment in PSUs. Before joining NALCO as Director (Finance), he served as Director (Finance) of THDC India Limited from 02.08.2013 to 31.08.2018.
