Balasore, January 13 (Localwire): The curtains of the four-day 22nd Golden Beach festival at Chandipur came down with a high note cultural programme on Sunday evening.
Speaking on the occasion, chief guest and the Minister of Tourism; Odia Language, Literature & Culture, Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi announced that Chandipur and Talseri beach of the district would be developed to international standard.
He further informed that the state government had sanctioned Rs 10 lakh during the current year for the development of Chandipur beach.
Minister Revenue and Disaster Management Sudam Marandi highlighted that the youths were forgetting their glorious pasts and shying away from the culture and traditions.
He emphasized on moral education and called for change in the syllabus to match the current social scenario.
Others who attended the function included Proof and Experimental Establishment (PXE) director DK Joshi and Balasore sub-collector Nilu Mohapatra.
