Paradip, January 4 (Localwire): State chief secretary Asit Tripathy on Saturday emphasised on the role of Paradip Port in the economic development of Odisha.
Visiting the state-of-the-art sewage treatment plant at the Paradip Port he said, that the investment of Rs 7,000 crore in the ongoing projects will lead to the economic development of the state.
The chief secretary also appreciated the commitment of the Port authority and working culture among PPT employees under the leadership of the chairman Rinkesh Roy.
According to the sources, the construction of the sewage treatment plant is now at the pre-commissioning stage.
The chief secretary also visited the state-of-the-art Dry Fog System installed at the Mechanised Coal Handling Plant and inaugurated the plantation programme to plant one lakh sapling and beautification of the township entry point.
Later in the evening, Tripathy reviewed the activities of Paradip Port at a high-level meeting, wherein the PPT chairman Roy outlined the issues and updates him about the latest developments.
