Paradip, August 20 (LocalWire): Paradip police has failed to trace a woman who is believed to have kidnapped a two-and-a-half-year-old boy three days ago from Bijyachandpur under Paradip police limit.
The boy’s father Satrughan Samal said he and his wife along with their son were visiting their relative when the boy was picked by the relative’s maid on Sunday.
The couple had left their five-year-old daughter in their native village in Titira under Balikuda police limit.
Samal has lodged an FIR with Paradip police station and a case of kidnapping has been registered.
Samal said Mamina Sahoo, 35, from Paradeepgarh had recently joined the house where she was working as a domestic help. The boy’s mother Nalini said she woke up and noticed that the child was missing.
IIC of Paradip Police station, Rajanikant Samal, said, ‘we verified the address of the kidnapper and found it to be fake.
Sahoo has not yet been indentified and we suspect she was childless and therefore kidnapped the kid.
A special team has been formed to locate both the kidnapper and the child but have not been traced yet.’
