Bhubaneswar, Oct 2 (LocalWire): On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated three power projects for Kalahandi district through video conferencing.
These included a 220/132/33 kV grid substation at Baner in Jaypatana area of Kalahandi district and two 33KV feeder lines from the sub station.
The CM said that the new projects would help around 30,000 people from the district. He said that the special help will reach women, students and farmers.
Patnaik said that the people of Jaypatana , Koksara and Kalampur areas of Kalahandi will directly benefit from this.
“Electricity services will be extended to other parts of the district in the coming days. A total of Rs 42 crore has been spent on the 220 kV Jaypatana grid,” he said.
He also added, “Through this grid, the people of Kalahandi will be able to get electricity directly from the Indrabati project for the first time.
In the coming days, another 132 kV double circuit line of 4 km will be connected to Junagadh,”
The Chief Minister said that Kalahandi district would create a new identity in the coming days.
“Now it has established itself as a fast-growing district.
The district has made rapid progress in agriculture.
Many more mega-irrigation projects have been implemented.”
