Bhubaneswar, Mar 7 (Local Wire): Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday inaugurated three projects worth Rs 709 crore while he paved way for the establishment of 23 others with the estimated investment of Rs 4,858.50 crore.
The CM inaugurated the projects through video conferencing from the state secretariat.
It is expected that these projects will create employment for 9,168 persons.
The three projects which got inaugurated on Saturday included- a solar power plant of Aditya Birla Renewable in Boudh district, a vegetable oil manufacturing unit of AKM Agro in Khurda and expansion of Jindal Stainless Ltd’s cold rolling mill in Jajpur.
Speaking on this occasion, Naveen said, “Our state has seen unprecedented industrialisation during the past 20 years.
During this time, the state has attracted as many as 130 large industries with a combined capital investment of more than Rs 3.3 lakh crore and employment opportunities for over 2.25 lakh persons.”
