Bhubaneswar, September 18 (LocalWire): Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday took stock of the central government projects that are pending implementation in the state.
Patnaik, who is on a visit to New Delhi today, directed the chief secretary and chief resident commissioner to follow-up on these projects with different central government ministries and departments for their early completion.
The issues related to pending railway projects for which the state government is bearing a substantial proportion of the project cost, besides providing free land, were also discussed in detail.
Patnaik also called for further follow-up on issues related to improving telecom and banking density in the state, according to a government release.
Meanwhile, authorities of AIIMS Delhi called upon the chief minister and presented him with a cheque of Rs 93.89 lakh towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for Cyclone FANI.
Patnaik expressed appreciation towards AIIMS and the entire team of doctors, paramedics and other staff for contributing their one day’s salary for the fund, and also for their outstanding surgical interventions and care of Jaga-Balia, the conjoined twins.
