Bhubaneswar, July 26 (LocalWire): The Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) today said that it has planned to increase the testing and related infrastructure in the city to cater to the needs of the citizens.
Ananya Das, CMC Commissioner today held a press conference and briefed the media on the preparedness of the civic body against Coronavirus.
She said, “We had earlier two mobile sampling units which we will increase to four to aid in testing.
We have also been using antigen testing in the city to test in some areas. Earlier we were using antigen testing only in hospitals,”
The official said that three COVID Care Centres are also operational in the city to host asymptomatic and people with mild symptoms to decongest COVID Hospitals.
She said, “We have three Covid Care Centres as of now. We are also soon going to add two more such centres to increase the facilities to host and treat Coronavirus patients,”
She also said that the urban local body has been allowing Home Isolation to asymptomatic patients selectively based on the protocol and availability of required facilities for the same.
