Bhubaneswar, Dec 29 (LocalWire): Normal life in Odisha was affected by a cold wave sweeping several parts of the state with further dip in minimum temperature.
Bhubaneswar witnessed a chilly morning on Saturday when the mercury dropped to 9.5 degree Celsius.
Hill town Daringibadi in Kandhamal district witnessed the lowest temperature 6 degree Celsius while district headquarters Phulbani recorded 7 degree Celsius on Saturday night.
People were seen lighting up bonfires at several places to keep themselves warm.
Similarly, the minimum temperature was recorded 6.6 degree Celsius in Angul, 6.9 in Keonjhar and Sundergarh.
The mercury is likely ti dip further in the next 24 hours, said Bhubaneswar Meteorology office.
