Bhubaneswar, December 23 (LocalWire) : Cold wave condition continues to sweep across Odisha with the mercury dipping to 9.5 degree Celsius in Phulbani, making it the coldest place in the state since past 24 hours.
According to the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar officials, there will be no change in minimum night time temperature during next 72 hours across the State.
Phulbani was followed by Daringibadi tourists’ destination, also in Kandhamal district, which recorded a minimum temperature of 10 degree Celsius, the Meteorological centre here said.
The mercury stood at Talecher- 12 degree, Sundargarh- 12 degree, Titilagarh- 12.1 degree, Koraput- 12.2 degree, Angul- 12.6 degree, Sonepur- 13.4 degree and Balasore- 13.8 degree, the Met officials said.
The mercury stood at 17.1 degree Celsius in state capital Bhubaneswar, while neighbouring Cuttack city recorded a minimum temperature of 14.4 degree Celsius. The port town of Gopalpur in Ganjam district recorded the highest night temperature of 17.8 degree Celsius, it said.
