Bhubaneswar, Dec 30 (LocalWire): Normal life in Bhubaneswar was affected by a cold wave on Sunday.
The capital city recorded a lowest minimum temperature of 8.2 degree Celsius.
Similarly, other parts of Odisha are reeling under intense cold wave conditions.
Mercury dropped below 10 degree Celsius in 18 towns and cities in the state.
The mercury dropped to 3 degree Celsius in Daringibadi in Kandhamal district while district headquarters Phulbani recorded 4.5 degree Celsius on Sunday night.
People were seen lighting up bonfires at several places to keep themselves warm.
The mercury is likely to dip further in the next 24 hours, said Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre.
