Bhubaneswar, January 6 (Localwire): The Meteorological Department in Bhubaneswar has predicted that bone-chilling winter is back in the state with the mercury dipping by at least two degrees across Odisha.
This follows a few days of cloudy weather that led to a decline in cold wave conditions across the state.
According to the Meteorological Department, overall the temperature may plummet by 4-5 degree Celsius in interior districts during the next 12 hours.
The minimum night temperature at Bhubaneswar and Cuttack was recorded 15.3 and 12.4 degrees, respectively, while the mercury dipped to 7.5 degree Celsius in Sonepur, 9 degrees at Angul and 10 degrees at Bhawanipatna.
The Meteorological Department has also predicted dense fog at one or two places in Angul, Dhenkanal, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Gajapati, Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Koraput, Cuttack and Khurda.
